Sunday Update #1

Just thought I'd upload a picture or two of the midi cross print dress on my recent purchases! I teamed it with my leather jacket and trusty brown studded boots! I would've rather got a pair of black boots (from my wishlist) but I had a sick day from work and my wages just didn't stretch that far! Boo!

Yesterday, I was in a fashion show in my local shopping centre! ...thanks mom!
I've been to a few fashion shows, but you never really think what its like for the models backstage! It's bloody hectic! I was noway expecting one woman to yank my top off and another pulling down my jeans, awkward much? But seeing as I only had 2 minutes between outfits I guess I was thankful!

Overall, I had a great time! Although my shoes were too big and stuffed with tissues, they ended up falling off halfway! But the trooper I am took them off like it was meant to happen and thankfully got a round of applause! &I had a bit of an accident with my contact lens and some shampoo and couldn't see out of one eye, so on paper it was bit of a disaster but had a great time! Free food and free drink where could you go wrong!
Just waiting to see the professional photos of the outfits that were took! ..yes, even with my dodgy eye!

Have you been to any recent fashion shows?

Winter Wishlist. #1

I'm not sure why I say Winter, there isn't a coat, wooly jumper or scarf in sight. I just havn't seen any that caught my eye...coats especially. I tried to change it away from the typical black and studs and the oxblood/burgandy colour, but I really do love them!

Schuh Chelsea Ankle Boots €120 // River Island Coca-Cola Top €22 // Motel Oxblood Playsuit €60 // Topshop Studded Velvet Leggings €31

Schuh Chelsea Ankle Boots €120 // River Island Coca-Cola Top €22 // Motel Oxblood Playsuit €60 // Topshop Studded Velvet Leggings €31

1.   I was in Schuh the other day and saw these shoe and fell in love! I have to admit, I ignored the €120 price tag while I tried them on! They're a lovely matte kinda leather, very comfortable and seem so durable! I'm going to keep look around til I find a replacement or maybe next payday ;)

2.   Love this top &colour so much, and seeing as you will pretty much always find me with a coke can in my hand, it seems very appropriate! There used to be a dark grey colour that I also loved, but definetly prefer this one.

3. I've seen a few people with Motel Playsuits and I think they're great. I've seen it in black and think it's great but I really love the oxblood one &think it would be great for the Christmas season and hopefully next payday I might invest in one!

4. Studs again! Typical me! The majority of the clothes I wear are dark and plain, so I love it when something has an edge to it. These can either be worn casual or dressed up and next time I'm in town, I'm definetly picking up a pair!

What's on your wishlist? Any nice coats?

Recent Purchases.

While I get my camera sorted (boohoo), I thought I'd share some of my recent purchases!

1. I got this lovely, slouchy cardigan from River Island! I can see myself wearing this EVERYWHERE. I'll upload some of my own pictures soon 'cause this picture doesn't do it justice!

2. Also got this love, frame print top from River Island, just a cosy, college top that looks great with the cardigan and just some skinny jeans/leggings/shorts!

3. I haven't really hopped on the bandwagon when it came to this years cross trend. Don't get me wrong, it's not like I don't like the trend, I've just not seen anything that caught my eye, until I saw this dress in River Island! I love the t-shirt style that gives it a laid back edge! The fit and length is so flattering, just above the knees. I'll probably team this with some studded boots for that extra edge. I wanted to find a camo jacket for over it, but ain't been very lucky, so for now it's my leather jacket or grey cardigan.

4.I love studs. I've been wearing them for as long as I can remember, and will be wearing them for a lot longer. When I saw this studded bust dress on the Boohoo site, I kinda fell in love with it, It isn't me at all. For me it's boobs or butt and NEVER bodycon & tbh this dress is all three, but I thought I would step out of my comfort zone and I'm glad I did.
When it arrived, I tried it on and wow, it's bodycon (ah) but across the the stomach area... it wasn't really, so it made it very flattering! It does look so different than it does on the model, and the strap placement is rather weird, being right in the middle, but it stops from the underarm hang..ew!

Have you loved or loathed the cross 'trend'?

My camera will be fixed in a few days now, thank god! Then prepare yourselves for a lotta lotta photos ;)

This Week I Love....#1

#1 Beanies and Bobble Hats

I'm not one to layer up during winter, I'll usually be in t-shirts and cardigans well into December..! Instead of layering up, I invest in a warm, cosy hat and I'm sorted! Here, are some I spotted that I am currently lusting over! I usually go for a baggy beanie for some extra comfort!

1. Boohoo fur lined bobble hat! I love this because it's warm, cosy and just so cute! I really do love the red as well, because I wear a lot of dark colours, I think this would add an extra pop to any outfit!

2. Pull and Bear two toned jacquard hat! I love this mainly because it looks like tiny mustaches, which are adorable!

3. River Island dark red bear ears beanie! I..am...in...love! Ah, so cute and fun. I love bobble hats so I love this twice as much! Going in my shopping bag!

4. ASOS miss pop pom hat! I much prefer the red version of this hat, but either is adorable! I love the bobble on this and the wide gauge knit, making it look and feel like it is handmade!

5. River Island grey leopard print pom hat! Can never go wrong with leopard print, and this grey pattered hat is no different! I love it because it is laid back and cosy, but with a glam edge!

Five for Five.

I'll be doing these posts in a few sittings, getting more expensive as I go along.
Links are in titles.

I'm rubbish with presents. Christmas, birthdays anything. Absolutely useless.

So I thought I'd start early, do a present a week or so! Mainly to keep on top of things, but I don't feel as bad spreading my money out, rather then losing all my hard earned wages in one sitting!
This will be one of many posts, Ten under Ten, Twenty under Twenty etc.

1. ShelterBox Charity Bracelet

All money raised goes to help those in need of help and homes due to disasters. I think it is a great cause, especially because of whats going on with Hurricane Sandy right now. It comes in red, green, black and blue from Topshop and at only £2, (€2.50/3) why not get two ;)

2.River Island Transfers

This pack comes in a Glitter pack with studs, spikes and skulls and a vintage pack with lace, bows and flowers. Personally, I love the Glitter pack and am waiting for mine to come in the post! I have plenty of old, plain tees that could do with modernising! I also got the Vintage pack for my friends birthday, shes a typical girly girl and hopefully is gonna love this! At £5 (€6ish), it can update 4/5 plain tops and is well worth the price!

3.  Newlook Stud Case

Cute, simple phone case with a stud detail. £2.99 (€3.50ish)

4.Elegant Touch Nail Art Kit

At only £2.50 (€3ish) This kit is great to add something simple but special to your nails! With skulls, stars and silver jewels it's a cheap but fun way to add some sparkle to your nails! I already have this in mind for a friends stocking filler!

5. One for the Lads

Seeing as it is movember, this air freshener is great! Tempted to get one for my boyfriends stinky car! At £2 (€2.50/3) it is a great stocking filler!

Wow, that was tough! It's hard to find things for five! I think these would be great stocking fillers though!

Down with the Trumpets.

GHOSTS!

Thanks to Heineken, my boyfriend and I went to see Rizzle Kicks last Sunday! It was in the Cork Opera House and was absolutely amazing! Doors were at 7, so being us, we arrived at 7! Luckily, we were in by half past as it was freeezing! We were greeted with wrist bands and tokens for free drinks!

The Original Rude Boys were supporting and they were actually brilliant & to say I hadn't heard of many of their songs I loved it! Check them out!

Rizzle Kicks were amazeballs. For anyone who hasn't heard of them, they're like a modern hip-hop reggae group..if that makes sense! They did great covers too, Ed Sheeran, Rage against the Machine, Beastie Boys and even Harry Potter theme tune! So glad I wore flats, my feet were knackered after all the dancing.

I'll post an outfit soon enough, my camera is being stupid at the moment..hence the white face picture!

Hello World!

This may sound a tad juvenile, but hi! My name is Bryna O'Callaghan, and I'm a 19y/o veterinary nursing student from Cork! Originally born in Leicestershire, England, I moved here when I was 11.

I've always wanted to start a blog, but never really knew where to start or what to talk about. I've always loved fashion but always from afar. I never had the confidence to try different things, but now as I am getting older I'm coming to terms with me and am starting to like myself more and more! Don't get me wrong, there's days where I sit on my floor moaning about having nothing to wear, so I buy some clothes online that I really do not need, but all in all..I'm getting better.

This may be slow to start up, but as I am doing it for myself, that doesn't bother me. I think it would be good for myself to, if you will, document myself, how I feel, what I wear and maybe I'll look back and see I had nothing to worry about!

To start I’ll probs just talk about some of my favourite blogs, start some winter wishlists and the odd outfit post! I'll also talk about my night out at RIZZLE KICKS thanks to Heineken!
